It's never fun missing your children, but I do believe it is necessary and rewarding every so often. We don't do it often, and it is hardly ever by "choice", but an opportunity to go to a friend's wedding was one we couldn't pass up.
We spent a couple days in Napa Valley, enjoying wine, friends, and the beautiful scenery before the wedding.

We thought it would be a great way to see the city...biking across town and to the Gold Gate Bridge. Little did we know how hilly it was there and what a workout! We did make it all the way to the bridge though, so that was a success!
And it wouldn't be a trip unless we made it to a baseball game!
A big thank you to my mom for watching my boys. We missed them so much and were so happy to get back home to them!
